Science Club set up an organic herb and vegetable garden on the Primary campus in 2008. We planted a variety of spring and summer plants such as tomatoes, basil, lettuce, parsley, carrots and strawberries. The garden used only organic mulch, fertilisers and absolutely no pesticides whatsoever. Companion plantings of marigold kept most of the bugs at bay and also made a the garden a riot of colour through the summer. Science Club families and the teachers enjoyed fresh produce from the garden and it was also used by some Infant classes as a teaching aid.

The garden has been used by the Senior classes as part of their Science program during Terms 2 and 3 in 2009. Science Club will be managing the garden once again in Term 4.
